Apple releases updated iOS 18 beta 3 and more

Apple is now rolling out updated beta 3 versions of iOS 18 and beta 3 of macOS Sequoia. The updated versions come a week after the initial beta 3 release and are a strong signal that the company is preparing to release the first public beta versions of iOS 18 and macOS 15.

For example, the current build number for iOS 18 beta 3 is 22A5307f, and the new one is 22A5307i. For macOS Sequoia, the new build number is 24A5289h, and the previous one is 24A5289g. At this point, it’s unclear if these updated builds bring anything new, but they likely just bring additional bug fixes.

There are a lot of expectations about when Apple will enable Apple Intelligence features in the iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia betas. So far, none of the AI-related stuff is available to beta users. The company has said that some of the features will be available later this summer, while others are not expected until 2025.

With iOS 18 beta 3, Apple introduced a new variation of the system’s default wallpaper that changes color throughout the day. The update also improves the new Photos app and a redesigned flashlight interface on iPhones with Dynamic Island. The update also enabled RCS on iPhone for more carriers around the world.
