NCS showcases AI and digital resilience solutions at Impact Forum

Technology services company NCS has launched a suite of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital resilience (DR) solutions aimed at helping organisations adapt to the AI era.

This development offers frameworks, solutions and accelerators that facilitate the safe, scalable use of AI for sustainable innovation in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

The launch was announced at the annual Impact Forum, which was attended by over 1,000 technology leaders and practitioners from entities such as Intel, SATS, AWS and Temasek Foundation, and was attended by Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policy, Heng Swee Keat.

NCS CEO Ng Kuo Pin addressed the audience, outlining the company’s plans to use AI for transformational purposes. He highlighted two key success factors critical for organizations: AI adoption and digital resilience. Ng Kuo Pin stated, “AI is now front and center around the world, but organizations cannot ignore the importance of digital resilience as they embrace the transformative power of AI. To build a more secure and sustainable future, it is crucial that organizations invest in building the foundations of cybersecurity, data management, and technology that will allow AI to thrive.”

The newly introduced AI-Digital Resilience (AI+DR) matrix categorizes organizations based on their maturity levels in AI adoption and digital resilience. The matrix helps organizations develop strategic roadmaps that balance AI development and digital resilience. Ng Kuo Pin noted, “AI will change the game, and companies need to learn how to play the new game—the sooner the better. Given the speed at which AI is evolving and the implications for businesses, working with the right technology partners to navigate the AI landscape is fundamental.”

NCS also launched Polaris DR, a solution designed to assess digital resilience in areas such as cybersecurity, data management, infrastructure scalability, application robustness and operational responsiveness. This initiative aims to create a solid foundation for growth across the enterprise through a tailored improvement plan.

Continuing its initiatives, NCS has introduced five Industry Business Solutions (IBS) embedded in NCS AI Accelerators. These solutions aim to accelerate AI adoption in areas such as customer/citizen experience, workforce productivity, and software engineering.

In addition, NCS has established strategic partnerships with several industry leaders. Working with Amazon Web Services (AWS), NCS aims to establish its first Generative AI Center of Excellence (CoE) for Public Good, leveraging AWS’ Generative AI Innovation Center. Elsie Tan, Country Manager, Worldwide Public Sector, Singapore, AWS, commented, “We are excited to partner with NCS to establish its inaugural CoE for Public Good, which will accelerate the delivery of innovative citizen services.”

NCS also announced a partnership with Dell Technologies, leveraging Dell AI Factory to accelerate the deployment of Generative AI solutions. Another notable collaboration is with Schneider Electric to address higher compute density and emissions compliance requirements with sustainable and energy-efficient systems. Yoon Young Kim, Cluster President, Singapore and Brunei, Schneider Electric, noted, “Our partnership with NCS is a key step toward setting a new standard for data center sustainability.”

In addition, NCS has partnered with Income Insurance to provide location-based, hourly travel insurance via the Breeze mobile app, enhancing its insurance offering with real-time data. Peter Tay, Chief Digital Officer, Income Insurance, said: “We are constantly looking to collaborate with like-minded partners to close the gaps in protection.”

To support its initiatives, NCS is expanding its AI talent pool. The company aims to build a 3,000-person base of certified AI practitioners, including more than 300 AI experts.

NCS is working with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to upskill its workforce through the TechSkills Accelerator initiative. Kiren Kumar, Deputy CEO of IMDA, said: “IMDA is committed to working with companies to build a strong AI talent ecosystem in Singapore.”
