Melissa Reynolds Named CEO of State Trustees

Melissa Reynolds was appointed by the State Board of Trustees as Chief Executive Officer.

An experienced board member and non-executive director, Reynolds has led significant change, transformation and digitalisation programmes in the heavily regulated financial services and utilities sectors.

At State Trustees she most recently served as General Manager, Trustee Services, where she was responsible for brand and marketing, deceased estates, personal trusts, charitable trusts, powers of attorney and will preparation, as well as government partnerships including Solar Homes and VCAT exams.

Previously, Reynolds also held senior positions at AGL and NAB.

“We are pleased to announce that Melissa Reynolds has been named CEO of the State Board of Trustees,” said the Honorable Jennifer Acton, Chair of the State Board of Trustees.

“Melissa’s experience and passion for improving client outcomes will be instrumental in leading State Trustees through its next phase of growth and expansion.”

State Trustees is a Victorian Government-backed financial and legal services company that helps clients look after their financial and legal affairs in times of need and after death.

The State Board of Trustees described Reynolds as “an inclusive and open leader who cultivates a collaborative, high-performance environment based on genuine empathy for his clients and a desire to make a positive difference in their lives.”

Reynolds assumed her new position on July 12, 2024. She replaces John Velegrinis, who retired after leading the State Board of Trustees since August 2021.
