Apple Releases Public Beta 1 of watchOS 11, macOS Sequoia, and tvOS 11 for Compatible Devices

Apple has released the first beta of its upcoming watchOS 11, macOS Sequoia, and tvOS 18 updates to the public, a week after the company released a third beta to developers, with new updates and additions. You can download and install the latest build right now on compatible Apple Watch and Apple TV devices.

Apple has released the first public beta of watchOS 11, macOS Sequoia, and tvOS 18 for all compatible devices.

watchOS 11 is a big update as it will bring some of Apple’s AI features to the wearable, and the company has also improved the overall user experience. Apple has also seen fit to introduce new apps and changes to existing apps that make better use of the wearable’s larger display. If you’re interested in trying out the latest update, you can do so by installing the first public beta of watchOS 11, which is comparatively more stable than the developer version.

You can download the beta by registering your Apple Watch on Apple’s beta software website. However, the update won’t be available until you update your iPhone to the latest iOS 18 public beta, which was also recently released. Once you’ve met the prerequisites, simply go to the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and navigate to the General section, then tap Software Updates, Beta Updates, and tap the new watchOS 11 Public Beta option.

watchOS 11 will add new widgets to the mix, including Translate and Shazam, and the platform will suggest relevant widgets based on time, date, location, and more. There’s also a new Vitals app that measures your health metrics. Apple has also implemented a new Training Load mechanism that measures the intensity and duration of your workouts. You can check out all the features in the latest watchOS 11 public beta.

Apple has also seen fit to release the first public beta of macOS Sequoia, which includes features like iPhone screen mirroring and more. You can install the latest beta by registering your device on Apple’s beta software website. Once you do, the update will be available in the Software Update section of System Settings. The update brings a number of new additions, including Apple Intelligence features, which will be available to all users later this year.

In addition to watchOS 11, Apple has also released a public beta of tvOS 18, which can be downloaded from compatible Apple TV models. The first thing you need to do is register your device on Apple’s public beta website, then go to Settings, select System, tap Software Updates, and then toggle on Get Public Beta Updates. The beta will be out soon, so stay tuned.

tvOS 18 will also bring some improvements to the platform, but these changes are minor compared to other updates. For example, the Apple TV app is getting a new InSight feature that provides users with real-time information about characters, music, and more. There’s also a new Enhanced Dialogue feature that increases voice clarity using machine learning. You can check out the rest of the features in the latest tvOS 18 beta.
