Stock Market Sectors: Stock Market Update: Fertilizer Stocks Rise, Sensex Rising

NEW DELHI: Shares of fertiliser companies were trading higher at 10:29 am on Tuesday. Top gainers included Paradeep Phosphates Ltd. (up 4.75%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd. (up 2.49%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. (up 2.47%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd. (up 1.71%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. (up 1.49%), National Fertilizers Ltd. (up 1.40%), Aries Agro Ltd. (up 1.30%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd. (up 0.89%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd. (up 0.89%) and Agro Phos India Ltd. (up 0.89%).

Top losers included Sikko Industries Ltd. (down 0.70%), Rama Phosphates Ltd. (down 0.45%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd. (down 0.37%) and Krishana Phoschem Ltd. (down 0.02%).

The NSE Nifty50 index was up 51.71 points at 24,638.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 177.79 points at 80,842.65 around 10:29 am.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (up 2.59%), Coal India Ltd. (up 2.35%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (up 2.2%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (up 1.68%), Tata Steel Ltd. (up 1.16%), Infosys Ltd. (up 1.06%), Grasim Industries Ltd. (up 1.02%), Adani Enterprises Ltd. (up 0.95%), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (up 0.94%) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 0.87%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Shriram Finance Ltd. (down 1.46%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (down 1.28%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. (down 1.16%), Nestle India Ltd. (down 0.99%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (down 0.62%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (down 0.59%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down 0.59%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 0.58%), NTPC Ltd. (down 0.52%) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (down 0.5%) were trading in the red.
