DEWA and Indian Consul General strengthen cooperation in energy and water sectors

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), welcomed HE Satish Kumar Sivan, Consul General of the Republic of India, to Dubai and the Northern Emirates to discuss mutual cooperation and strategic partnerships.

Al Tayer reiterated DEWA’s commitment to strengthening its relations with diplomatic missions in the UAE, highlighting its cooperation with Indian companies in the energy and water sectors. He highlighted DEWA’s ongoing initiatives, particularly in renewable and clean energy projects, in line with Dubai’s ambitious Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and Net Zero Emissions Strategy 2050.

During the meeting, Al Tayer highlighted DEWA’s efforts to support innovation and create an environment conducive to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and combating climate change worldwide.

Consul General Satish Kumar Sivan praised DEWA’s initiatives and support extended to Indian companies in Dubai. He acknowledged the unique facilities and opportunities available, expressing India’s strong interest in exploring future collaboration with DEWA.

The discussions reflect DEWA’s proactive approach to strengthening international partnerships for sustainable development and innovation in the energy sector.
