Stock Market Sectors: Stock Market Update: FMCG Stocks Rise as Market Gains

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading at 11:10 am on Tuesday with top gainers including Umang Dairies Ltd. (up 20.00%), Hatsun Agro Products Ltd. (up 7.64%), Parag Milk Foods Ltd. (up 5.28%), Dodla Dairy Ltd. (up 3.68%), Heritage Foods Ltd. (up 3.03%), Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd. (up 2.08%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (up 1.83%), Emami Ltd. (up 1.53%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 1.48%) and Marico Ltd. (up 1.35%).

Top losers included Sheetal Cool Products Ltd. (down 11.12%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd. (down 1.18%), Jyothy Labs Ltd. (down 1.01%), Nestle India Ltd. (down 0.93%), Bikaji Foods International Ltd. (down 0.64%), Varun Beverages Ltd. (down 0.49%), Patanjali Foods Ltd. (down 0.39%), Dangee Dums Ltd. (down 0.27%), Adani Wilmar Ltd. (down 0.14%) and Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. (down 0.02%).

The NSE Nifty50 index was up 64.71 points at 24,651.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 183.78 points at 80,848.64 around 11:10 am.

Coal India Ltd. (up 3.93%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (up 3.4%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (up 2.04%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (up 1.85%), Tata Steel Ltd. (up 1.77%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 1.44%), Grasim Industries Ltd. (up 1.1%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (up 1.09%), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (up 0.94%) and ICICI Bank Ltd. (up 0.86%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (down 1.62%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 1.3%), Shriram Finance Ltd. (down 1.21%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (down 1.03%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. (down 0.97%), Nestle India Ltd. (down 0.95%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (down 0.6%), LTIMindtree Ltd. (down 0.5%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (down 0.38%) and Wipro Ltd. (down 0.32%) were trading in the red.
