Texarkana Board to Discuss City Manager Search Update, Nominations | Texarkana

TEXARKANA, Ark. – The Texarkana Arkansas board of directors approved the elimination of the undeveloped Princeton and Salem streets in Roselawn Addition at its Monday meeting.

The board also approved an application to open a Joe’s Italian Bistro restaurant at 112 East 5th^t Saint

Director Laney Harris discussed inviting two city officials to a one-day National League City Workshop in Chicago hosted by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Mayor Allen Brown then allowed the crowd to proceed into closed session.

“We have several nominations to consider tonight; one for the Equalization Board, one for the Planning Commission and two for the Public Facilities Board,” said Mayor Brown. “And we’ll also get an update on our search for a new city manager.”

The next board meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 5, at 6:00 p.m.
