Stock Market Sectors: Stock Market Update: Energy Stocks Rise as Sensex Rises

NEW DELHI: Energy stocks were trading higher at 10:45 am on Tuesday. Karma Energy Ltd. (up 5.00%), Indo Tech Transformers Ltd. (up 5.00%), KPI Green Energy Ltd. (up 4.12%), Hitachi Energy India Ltd. (up 2.41%), Adani Green Energy Ltd. (up 2.06%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd. (up 1.63%), Adani Energy Solutions Ltd. (up 1.33%), KEC International Ltd. (up 1.29%), Adani Power Ltd. (up 1.25%) and Transformers & Rectifiers(India) Ltd. (up 1.18%) were among the top gainers.

Top losers included India Power Corporation Ltd. (down 5.01%), GE Power India Ltd. (down 5.00%), KKV Agro Powers Ltd. (down 5.00%), Indowind Energy Ltd. (down 2.49%), Inox Wind Energy Ltd. (down 1.70%), Kalpataru Projects International Ltd. (down 0.81%), JSW Energy Ltd. (down 0.59%), Inox Wind Ltd. (down 0.56%), NHPC Ltd. (down 0.19%) and Reliance Power Ltd. (down 0.18%).

The NSE Nifty50 index was up 70.1 points at 24,656.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 204.12 points at 80,868.98 around 10:45 am.

Top gainers on the Nifty included Coal India Ltd. (up 2.86%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (up 2.73%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (up 2.03%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (up 1.71%), Tata Steel Ltd. (up 1.68%), Grasim Industries Ltd. (up 1.17%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 1.05%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (up 0.94%), Infosys Ltd. (up 0.89%) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (up 0.78%).

On the other hand, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (down 1.39%), Shriram Finance Ltd. (down 1.31%), Nestle India Ltd. (down 1.2%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. (down 0.97%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 0.77%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (down 0.59%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (down 0.55%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (down 0.43%), Wipro Ltd. (down 0.34%) and IndusInd Bank Ltd. (down 0.22%) were trading in the red.
