NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks ended on a positive note on Tuesday with top gainers including Umang Dairies Ltd. (up 20.00%), Parag Milk Foods Ltd. (up 6.17%), Dodla Dairy Ltd. (up 5.82%), Vadilal Industries Ltd. (up 4.33%), Hatsun Agro Products Ltd. (up 3.98%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 2.61%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (up 2.39%), Marico Ltd. (up 2.21%), Dabur India Ltd. (up 1.36%) and Emami Ltd. (up 1.26%).

Sheetal Cool Products Ltd. (down 14.19%), Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd. (down 2.22%), Jyothy Labs Ltd. (down 2.08%), ADF Foods Ltd. (down 1.82%), Varun Beverages Ltd. (down 1.78%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd. (down 1.23%), Adani Wilmar Ltd. (down 0.96%), Bikaji Foods International Ltd. (down 0.79%), Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Ltd. (down 0.56%) and Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd. (down 0.30%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended the day up 26.3 points at 24,613.0, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed 51.69 points higher at 80,716.55.

Coal India Ltd. (up 2.96%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (up 2.67%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 2.61%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (up 2.39%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (up 2.02%), LTIMindtree Ltd. (up 1.54%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd. (up 1.37%), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (up 1.15%), Infosys Ltd. (up 1.12%) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (up 0.95%) were among the top gainers on the Nifty.

On the other hand, Shriram Finance Ltd. (down 2.39%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 2.19%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (down 2.08%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (down 1.48%), NTPC Ltd. (down 1.35%), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 1.33%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (down 1.32%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (down 0.51%), Cipla Ltd. (down 0.45%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (down 0.44%) ended in the red.
