Nalinee Taveesin, adviser to the Thai prime minister and Thailand’s trade representative, said on Tuesday that her country will provide Bangladesh with the necessary support to develop its tourism sector.

“With the BEZA initiative, the tourism sector in Bangladesh will see a significant boost in the future, and Thailand is ready to provide the necessary support to the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) to ensure the success of this park, drawing on the experience of the Thai tourism sector so far,” she said.

Nalinee Taveesin said this during a visit to the Sabrang Tourism Park, which is being developed in Neknaf Upazila in Cox’s Bazar district, a press release said.

A high-ranking Thai delegation today visited the Sabrang Tourism Park in Cox’s Bazar, said to be the country’s first exclusive tourism park, to explore the investment potential in the country’s tourism sector.

Nalinee Taveesin leads a delegation that includes presidents and CEOs of several Thai companies.

In her speech, Nalinee Taveesin said that Sabrang Tourist Park is picturesquely situated with the blue waters of the Bay of Bengal on one side and hills surrounded by greenery on the other side. This will make this tourist park one of the major attractions for tourists from all over the world in the future.

She encouraged Thai investors to invest in Sabrang Tourism Park.

The ceremony was attended by, among others, Md Sarwar Bari, Executive Chairman of BEZA, and Makawadee Sumitmor, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Bangladesh.
