Texarkana Board Discusses City Manager Update, Makes Board Appointments

TEXARKANA, Ark. – The board of a Texarkana, Arkansas, company held an executive session Monday following its regular board meeting.

Mayor Allen Brown said the first applications were submitted early in the city manager hiring process.

The board will be accepting applications for the city manager position until August 2, ahead of the next board meeting scheduled for August 5.

The nominations of several individuals were approved, including Cori Mobbs to the Planning Commission and Ellen Holmes to the Board of Equalization.

Laura Cowling has been appointed and Mary Beck has been reappointed to the Public Facilities Board.
