Italian Antitrust Authority Launches Investigation Into Google Over Unfair Trade Practices | WIBQ The Talk Station

ROME (Reuters) – Italy’s antitrust agency has opened an investigation into internet search giant Google and its parent company Alphabet over alleged unfair trading practices, the regulator said on Thursday.

Google’s request to users for permission to link to its services “may constitute a misleading and aggressive commercial practice”, the watchdog said in a statement, adding that the information it provides is “incomplete and misleading”.

Google representatives were not initially available for comment.
