Stock Market Sectors: Stock Market Update: Fertilizer Stocks Fall, Sensex Rise

NEW DELHI: Fertilizer stocks were trading lower at 10:50 am on Thursday, with top gainers being Sikko Industries Ltd. (up 5.00%) and Krishana Phoschem Ltd. (up 0.12%).

Top losers included Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd. (down 3.45%), National Fertilizers Ltd. (down 3.37%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd. (down 3.09%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. (down 2.98%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd. (down 2.57%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd. (down 2.17%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. (down 1.98%), Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd. (down 1.77%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd. (down 1.76%) and Agro Phos India Ltd. (down 1.52%).

The NSE Nifty50 index was up 17.5 points at 24,630.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 29.96 points at 80,746.51 around 10:50 am.

Top gainers on the Nifty included LTIMindtree Ltd. (up 2.88%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (up 1.88%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 1.59%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (up 1.57%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. (up 1.47%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (up 1.1%), Infosys Ltd. (up 0.84%), State Bank of India (up 0.83%), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (up 0.82%) and Britannia Industries Ltd. (up 0.76%).

On the other hand, Bajaj Auto Ltd. (down 3.3%), Coal India Ltd. (down 1.88%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (down 1.85%), Adani Enterprises Ltd. (down 1.38%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (down 1.33%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (down 1.22%), Asian Paints Ltd. (down 1.13%), NTPC Ltd. (down 1.11%), Tata Steel Ltd. (down 1.1%) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (down 0.82%) were trading in the red.
