First Bancorp Announces Retirement and New Executive Appointments

First Bank (FNLC) has just revealed the announcement.

Susan A. Norton, a key executive at The First Bancorp since 1992, has announced that she will retire on Feb. 14, 2025. Norton, who has contributed significantly to the company’s growth in a variety of roles and has been on the leadership team since 2002, will hand over her responsibilities to Marcia Benner and Jody Brown. Benner, who has experience as EVP/CAO at another bank, will take over human resources and marketing, while Brown, who has been with the bank since 2002, will lead compliance/BSA and risk, and both are eager to join the leadership team.
