Senior roles and technological advancements support JAB Recruitment's ambitious growth plans

Global recruitment partner JAB Recruitment has announced a number of promotions and new roles designed to help energy operators and leading service companies connect with skilled workers around the world.

Further strengthening the UK and US-based company, it has used cutting-edge technology to launch its own mobile app in partnership with technology company Moblyze Inc. – connecting the best talent with the most in-demand roles, helping the energy industry’s largest employers reach and attract qualified candidates.

To support its international growth ambitions, it has announced several key appointments. JAB co-founder Chris Black has taken on the newly created role of Chief Growth Officer to reflect his expertise in the space, while Colin Mackie is moving from Vice President Americas to Chief Operating Officer.

Elsewhere, Louisiana-based Tosha Pennison has been promoted to vice president of subsea and marine, while in Aberdeen, UK, Shaun Garrathy has joined from NES Fircroft as regional manager for EMEA.

Andrew Ramsay, CEO of JAB Recruitment, said: “I am incredibly proud of our global team and excited about what our new hires can bring to help grow the business and support more employers in the energy sector.

“It’s a tough recruiting market, but investing in the best technology sets JAB apart and allows us to redefine how talent and opportunity come together. Leveraging AI and market-driven technology and applying it to the recruiting market through the launch of our own mobile app helps streamline the process and drive great results for our clients.”

The Dundee-founded company, which owns executive recruiter Ramsay Black, has seen a 60 per cent increase in UK revenue and a 35 per cent increase in US revenue over the past 18 months. It has invested $1 million to triple its multi-million revenue and double its staff to 60 in three years.

With a client list of over 350 and offices in the UK, Houston, Louisiana and Calgary, our recruitment partner has been connecting global operators and top service providers with the right talent for over 20 years, placing over 1,000 people a year.

Andrew added: “Global operators and leading international service companies need a global recruitment partner – that’s JAB. We understand the demands of the international energy market and use the latest technology to provide our clients with an unparalleled service.

“We have seen record growth in our UK business, combined with accelerated growth in the Gulf of Mexico subsea and offshore sectors. In just three years in the region we have gone from being on our feet to being recognised as one of the leading recruitment specialists. We now work with 90% of subsea construction, repair and maintenance companies in the Gulf of Mexico.

“Through our recent technological advances and investment in our own people, we are realizing our ambitions, cultivating strong relationships and providing a tailored set of services to meet the needs of the global energy industry.”
