JKTPO Organizes E-Commerce Introduction Focusing on ODOP and DEH in Ramban

RAMBAN, JULY 18: Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation (JKTPO), in collaboration with the district administration and various e-commerce platforms, organised an e-commerce introduction campaign at DAC Maitra Conference Hall, Ramban today.

The initiative was held under the patronage of Ramban Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary and focused on One District One Product (ODOP) and District Export Hubs (DEH) programmes. Ramban DIC CEO Ravindra Anand chaired the programme. The event was attended by various officers and traders.

The success of this implementation campaign was ensured by active participation of various stakeholders including vendors, farmers, artisans, SHG members, entrepreneurs, self-employed youth, FPOs, as well as JKTPO Manager, Aditya Chunni, DAO, Ravi Sharma, AGM Horticulture (P&M), Ramban, Raju Zutshi, representatives of NRLM, ONDC Mystore, Handloom, Handicraft, Horticulture and other concerned departments.

Addressing the participants, DIC CEO said that the primary objective of this campaign is to increase the digital presence and market reach of local artisans, manufacturers, weavers, farmers, entrepreneurs, self-help groups (SHGs) and small businesses by facilitating their onboarding on leading e-commerce platforms like GeM.

The ODOP and DEH initiatives have demonstrated significant potential to promote unique and high-quality products from each region, which in turn stimulates local economies and provides greater market opportunities for artisans, farmers, entrepreneurs and producers.

The campaign included comprehensive training sessions on e-commerce operations, digital marketing, and logistics management. Participants received assistance in registering and setting up online stores on well-known e-commerce platforms, support in listing products with effective descriptions, images, and prices, and tips on strategies for increasing online sales through digital marketing, social media, and promotional campaigns.
