Key Role Objective

The primary focus of this role will be to manage the current portfolio of key accounts, which will involve acting as a liaison between Primedia Broadcasting and our clients, ensuring client satisfaction. Proactively responding to client needs and facilitating the sales process from start to finish. Ultimately contributing to sales growth and maintaining a strong company-client relationship. Additionally, the role will involve developing the agency’s diverse client base.

Key Results/Responsibilities

Knowledge of own brands and products, as well as clients’ brands and products, and the broader media industry

  • Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the brands and products of the four radio stations they represent, as well as how the brands compare to competitors
  • Expanding and maintaining knowledge about clients’ brands and products, which allows for valuable conversations and identification of their needs
  • To stay up to date with the latest trends and events in the media industry and to provide the sales team with the latest information
  • To understand social media and digital innovation and how they integrate with media and marketing

Active sales and search for new customers

  • Proactively, consistently and continuously acquire new customers for our radio stations
  • Using insights and research from our Research and Innovation departments, we create personalized offers for our clients that help them find a solution to their business problem.
  • Working closely with client partner specialists on call and music formats to create solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • To interpret the executive summary, develop a strategically relevant customer proposition that applies to innovative opportunities, and submit proposals for review and approval
  • To maintain the premium brand status of PMB brands and negotiate upsells when opportunities are identified
  • To achieve sales goals set by the line manager.

Service delivery and professionalism

  • To ensure accurate management of customer information in the CRM system and information flow to the company.
  • Performing administrative tasks related to the function performed in order to achieve a successful outcome and implement the campaign.
  • Negotiating flexibility that takes into account both customer desires and mutually beneficial outcomes for both brands
  • Resolving complaints and enquiries effectively, where possible without consulting management and with a minimum of conflict
  • Be easily accessible and respond quickly to calls/messages, both during and outside working hours, from internal and external stakeholders
  • To ensure that client campaigns are delivered as agreed, work across departments to achieve intended results and communicate with clients in a timely manner about the process and results
  • Building relationships and promoting station brands by offering entertainment to customers as needed.

Knowledge and experience required

  • 6-8 years of experience in media sales
  • Proven experience in working with large agencies (over 5 years)
  • Selling on digital platforms would be beneficial
