Android 15 Brings Device Diagnostics to Pixel and Battery Cycle Counter

Right now (on Pixel), Google lets you run battery diagnostics. Android 15 Beta 4 adds more advanced device diagnostics that also lets you see the battery health.

You can access it in Settings > System > Device Diagnostics (at the very bottom).

Component health status:Run manual tests and check battery and storage health

Manual testing

• Display Test: Shows red, green, and blue screens that you can manually review to “check for faults.”
• Touch Test: Swipe your finger across the screen to find dead spots

Component Status

• Battery status: production date, first use date and cycle count
• Storage Status: 0-100% “Lifetime Remaining”

Evaluation mode:Use one device to evaluate another device

• Trusted Device: Rate another device. Internet connection required
• Device under evaluation: Run diagnostic tests that will be verified by another device

This involves granting permission to nearby devices and scanning a QR code.
