Stock Market Sectors: Stock Market Update: Fertilizer Stocks Fall as Market Falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilizer stocks were trading lower at 10:24 am on Friday, with Aries Agro Ltd. up 2.22% and Sikko Industries Ltd. up 1.04%.

Top losers included Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd. (down 4.56%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. (down 3.47%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd. (down 3.11%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. (down 2.63%), Agro Phos India Ltd. (down 2.54%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd. (down 2.48%), National Fertilizers Ltd. (down 2.45%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd. (down 2.35%), Rama Phosphates Ltd. (down 2.26%) and Paradeep Phosphates Ltd. (down 2.21%).

The NSE Nifty50 index was down 95.25 points at 24,705.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 165.31 points at 81,178.15 around 10:24 am.

Infosys Ltd. (up 2.89%), Britannia Industries Ltd. (up 1.16%), Asian Paints Ltd. (up 1.14%), ITC Ltd. (up 0.9%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (up 0.8%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 0.42%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (up 0.13%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (up 0.05%) and Nestle India Ltd. (up 0.04%) were among the top gainers on the Nifty.

On the other hand, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (down 3.16%), Tata Steel Ltd. (down 2.67%), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 2.61%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down 2.27%), Eicher Motors Ltd. (down 2.11%), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (down 1.94%), JSW Steel Ltd. (down 1.82%), Coal India Ltd. (down 1.79%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (down 1.43%) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd. (down 1.29%) were trading in the red.
