Barbara Lavernos appointed COO

Barbara Lavernos, who has been with L’Oréal since 1996, has just been named executive vice president of operations. She will take up her new role on November 1. She will oversee, in particular, procurement, manufacturing and the supply chain. At the same time, Lavernos – who succeeds Jean-Philippe Blanpain – will also join L’Oréal’s Executive Committee.

Lavernos initially worked for L’Oréal as a buyer at the Aulnay factory, before becoming head of purchasing at the Ormes factory, where she dealt with cosmetics and perfumes.

In 2000, she was appointed head of the Rambouillet plant, then spent four years as group general purchasing manager. In 2012, she was appointed general manager of travel retail for L’Oréal Luxe, and in 2013, general manager of travel retail for the group worldwide.
