Milwaukie Police Welcome Flora, a Dual-Purpose Dog Trained to Detect Electronic Devices

MILWAUKIE, OR (KATU) — The Milwaukie Police Department has introduced a new dog.

Flora is a 2-year-old Labrador/Golden Retriever.

The dog will be used to search electronic data carriers in criminal cases.

Flora can search both outdoors and in deep flowing waters.

She was initially trained as a K-9 emotional support dog, but will also be used for support roles in the community.
