Apple today made iOS 17.6 and iPadOS 17.6 Release Candidates available to developers for testing purposes, and the software will arrive one week after the fourth betas of iOS and iPadOS 17.6 are released. RC builds are the final versions of iOS 17.6 and iPadOS 17.6 that will launch publicly in the near future.

Registered developers can sign up for the beta by opening the Settings app, going to Software Update, tapping “Beta Updates,” and switching to iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 Developer Beta. An Apple ID associated with a developer account is required to download and install the beta.

All of the features Apple promised for ‌iOS 17‌ have been implemented, so it’s unclear what will be included in iOS 17.6, and no significant new additions have been discovered in the beta builds. Apple’s release notes suggest that the update will bring unspecified bug fixes and security updates.

This update contains important bug fixes and security updates and is recommended for all users.
