Apple Ready for Government — and Your Business — Computerworld

Not only does the company now have a wide and diverse roster of enterprise-focused companies like Addigy, Jamf, Kandji, and all the other companies I talk to every week, but its future-oriented platforms are inherently more resilient by design. That’s why Apple dropped support for kernel extensions years ago, among other things. While no platform is ever completely secure, the vast majority of issues on Apple platforms occur as a result of user error, not globally deployed automated software updates that break computers.

Of course, there is a deep-rooted belief that Apple is a consumer product that is unsuitable for corporate use, and it will take time to change that perception — although events like the Crowdstrike disaster should help people challenge that perception.

I think the need for diversification is growing.
