Owens has faced criticism for several comments he made regarding his relationship. During an interview with Axis of rotation podcast, Owens was asked if he considered himself the “party” in the affair. “I always say men are the party,” he said.

While some fans still don’t trust Owens, body language expert Judi James told The Sun that Owens seems “impressed” with Biles.

“Jonathan’s historical comments have clearly haunted him,” she said. “If anything, his one comment about being a party may have come from a place of insecurity. Now he seems completely submissive and shows a deep interest in his wife and the relationship.”

James added that Owens “couldn’t have done more” in body language to prove he adores his wife. “This is a moment where he’s not even sharing the spotlight with her — he’s naturally leaning toward Simone and leaning toward her most of the time,” she continued. As for Biles, James says she “seems eager to protect him from criticism or harm” and offers him “fan adoration” when he plays football. “We might see her arch her back in pride or stretch and expose her neck to give a kiss as a reward,” the body language expert added.

“Let me get this straight, that joke was never meant to be a joke! Y’all are being outrageously rude to my relationship and my husband,” Biles wrote, according to ABC. “If you continue to comment or tweet at me, I will simply block you. Simple. And no, I do not have to touch the grass or anything you are suggesting…”

Biles also addressed the controversy surrounding Call her daddy podcast. “It really hurt that they said that about my husband,” the gymnast admitted. “Because for me it’s like, talk about me as much as you want, but don’t come for my family, ever.”

Jonathan Owens has requested a leave of absence from the Chicago Bears to support his wife at the Paris Olympics.

Owens called Biles “incredible” and couldn’t believe “how lucky” he was to call her his wife. “I think to myself, how lucky I am to have her as my wife and to be able to see her — someone who is literally at the top of her game,” he said. “And I get to call her my wife. It’s amazing.”
