DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE CinemaScore Revealed as First R-Rated MCU Film Set to Break Box Office Records

Deadpool and Wolverine has a “Certified Fresh” rating of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes, though its Audience Score is an even more impressive 97%. Today, we finally have the all-important CinemaScore for the third installment.

For those who don’t know, CinemaScore is a market research company that studies audience reactions to new films.

After watching premiere screenings, viewers rate films on a scale from A+ to F, providing insight into audience satisfaction. CinemaScore, widely used in the film industry, helps gauge the initial reception of films and influences box office predictions based on audience feedback.

Deadpool and Wolverine got involved with Deadpool AND Deadpool 2 courtesy of an A rating. That’s a great score that bodes well for its chances of rewatching and positive reviews in the next few days. It also puts it higher Logan (A-) and connects the film with films such as Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America: The Winter SoldierAND Iron Man.

The only MCU films to receive the coveted A+ rating are Avengers, Avengers: Endgame, Black PantherAND Spider-Man: No Way Home.

According to the latest information from Deadline’s box office (more on that later today), it looks like Deadpool and Wolverine had $55 million on Friday against an estimated $180 million opening weekend. But the deal admits it will likely grow to $200 million or more.

According to the director of one of the competing studios, “This film will not compete with any other.”

Kevin Feige, Reynolds, Levy and Lauren Shuler Donner are producing, with Louis D’Esposito, Wendy Jacobson, Mary McLaglen, Josh McLaglen, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, George Dewey, Simon Kinberg and Jonathon Komack Martin serving as executive producers.

Deadpool and Wolverine is already in cinemas.
