Chicopee, MA (PRWEB) July 23, 2024 – A definitive agreement has been signed under which AccessPlus, a subsidiary of RingSquared, will acquire Crocker Communications, Inc., a recognized leader in the third-generation telecommunications industry headquartered in Greenfield and Springfield, Massachusetts.

The closing of the transaction is subject to approval by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and state regulators and is expected to occur in the third quarter of 2024. The acquisition includes the assets of Crocker Communications and its robust customer base of approximately 2,000 customers in the government, education and residential sectors.

This strategic move significantly expands AccessPlus’ market presence throughout Western Massachusetts. Crocker Communications offers a comprehensive suite of telecommunications services and solutions with a loyal customer base in key industries including government, education, SMB and utilities, and is the exclusive Internet service provider in Block Island, Rhode Island. Known for its commitment to technology advancement and exceptional service, Crocker has grown and will continue to grow under his leadership.

Following FCC approval, AccessPlus will rapidly integrate Crocker Communications customers into its fiber network, beginning in Pittsfield and expanding to include all of Berkshire County, Massachusetts. This acquisition will significantly increase AccessPlus’ core customer base in these regions.

“We are excited to welcome Crocker Communications to the RingSquared brand family,” said Kevin Alward, CEO. “Matthew Crocker and his team bring unparalleled experience and a commitment to high-quality products and services that truly set them apart.”

As part of its ambitious growth strategy, AccessPlus has already launched fiber broadband in the Pittsfield, Massachusetts, business corridor. This initiative, launched last month, marks the beginning of a rapid expansion of multi-gigabit fiber broadband services in the Berkshires. By the third quarter of this year, all Crocker Communications Pittsfield customers will have access to high-speed fiber broadband. In addition, AccessPlus and Crocker Communications will rapidly combine their networks to further increase capacity and resiliency, providing world-class connectivity and performance.

“Our customers will benefit significantly from Crocker joining AccessPlus,” said Matthew Crocker, president of Crocker Communications. “We are excited to become a part of AccessPlus and bring new fiber connectivity to Berkshire County, being the first to offer this advanced service in this area. This is an exciting milestone for us and a great opportunity to enhance our service offering to our valued customers.”

Following the close of the transaction, Crocker Communications will retain its brand and Matthew Crocker will remain as CEO.
