Johnstown software company launches app for local baseball fans

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – A Johnstown-based software company has launched an advanced online ticketing platform and mobile app for Johnstown Mill Rats fans.

The application is now available for download from the website and from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Sourceree’s partnership with Mill Rats represents a significant step forward in fan engagement, the organizations said in a press release.

According to the Johnstown partner organizations, upcoming features include the ability to purchase concessions and merchandise, all through one mobile app, unlike any other team in the league.

“We are excited to partner with Johnstown Mill Rats to increase community engagement and revolutionize the fan experience,” said Adam Murphy, president of Sourceree, in a press release.

Murphy predicts other local organizations will benefit from similarly designed white-label apps.

“Our goal is to create a platform that not only streamlines the way fans interact with their favorite teams, but also provides a scalable solution for schools, little leagues, dance studios, sports teams and other organizations looking to streamline their event operations,” he said. “We’re especially excited to work with local schools and organizations to provide them with this capability to streamline their events and fan engagement.”

Sarah Rex, Mill Rats CEO, said the app provides a comprehensive and enjoyable matchday experience – from purchasing tickets to ordering food and drink for collection and potentially having it delivered directly to your seat in the stands.

“The Johnstown Mill Rats are excited to partner with Sourceree on this innovative project,” Rex said in a press release. “We had a great experience working locally with Sourceree this summer to leverage technology in ways we never thought we could. This new app will help us enhance our fan experience and allow us to stay connected with our fans even in the off-season.”
