Police to release drug recidivist history sheets

Hyderabad: TG-Anti-Drug Office (TG-ANB) will open the history sheet against Recidivists involved in violation The NDPS Act starting in August. Officials said the records would be opened even against foreigners known to supply synthetic drugs.
This decision was taken recently and was communicated to all police commissioners and superintendents.
Sources in the TG-ANB said the bureau has records of nearly 1,000 drug peddlers and suppliers. Of these, nearly 50 are inter-state smugglers and those who work for multiple drug networks. They supply drugs to their networks and ensure that they reach Telangana. So far, officials have found at least 10,000 people in Telangana involved in drug abuse. However, this is the number of people whose names have come to light during the investigation into the drugs case. “In fact, the actual number of drug addicts in the state will be higher than the number recorded,” the source said.
“While checking the gadgets and questioning drug dealers and consumers, police generally found that the number of consumers in each case ranged from 10 to 30,” officials said.
Officials have divided the major traffickers into categories based on the drugs they smuggle and supply. In the case of heroin, Santosh Acharya from Rajasthan is the wholesale supplier. Similarly, the mysterious Star Boy, arrested Nigerian Iwuala Udoka Stanley from Goa, missing Nigerian Divine Ebuka Suzee are running large cocaine networks. Although Stanley was arrested a few months ago, his handlers like Oraka in Goa continue to run large networks.
In many cases, during the testimony of the accused, the police learn about the role of individual traffickers, but do not know their personal data, apart from their names, which in many cases turned out to be fictitious.
