Outreach program organized for MMC students

Patna: The internal quality assurance cell (IQAC) and incubation center of Magadh Mahila College (MMC) in collaboration with the start-up cell of L.N. Mishra Institute of Economic Development and Social Change organized an outreach program for its students here on Saturday to apprise them with the basic ideas of start ups in Bihar. Many girls participated in the program some of whom came up with brilliant ideas for start-ups.
Start-up cell faculty-in-charge Ritu Narayan and coordinator Jyotish Shankar gave a detailed presentation on the various aspects of entrepreneurship, its opportunities and challenges.

They pointed out that incubation support is provided through financial and infrastructural support to start-ups and state-supported incubators.
The state govt also supports incubators in setting up or upgrading existing facilities through funds and incentives to enhance the incubation infrastructure. The chief executive officer of Biro Power Pvt Ltd, Rajnish Kumar, also addressed the students.
An ideation challenge was organized for the students in which Varsha Kumari, Pallavi Kumari and Aditi Srivastava were awarded first, second and third prizes, respectively.
College principal Namita Kumari welcomed the guests and encouraged the students to take up challenging start-up ideas and work to make India a developed nation. Faculty Sweta Sharan moderated the program.

They highlighted the need for early psychological guidance and group counseling to mitigate such behavior and failed educational institutions to adopt zero-tolerance policies towards ragging and physical abuse.
