CUET result out, UG admissions by Aug 25

Indore: After a delay of almost one month, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) is now expected to start the undergraduate admission Counselling through CUET-UG scores around Aug 20 to 25. This comes after National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the CUET-UG results on Sunday, one month after the scheduled date that is June 30.
The varsity is likely to receive the complete data of students from NTA within the next seven to eight days.Based on this data, DAVV will prepare the merit list and rankings within the next three days.
The counseling registration link will be then opened. If the data is received by Aug 5, registrations are likely to begin by Aug 10, giving students at least 10 days for registration. Counseling is expected to start within five to seven days after registrations, potentially commencing by Aug 25.
DAVV CUET chairman, Dr. Kanhaiya Ahuja said, “Registration will begin within three days of receiving the data from NTA. We aim to start counseling as soon as possible after August 20. We will be writing to NTA for sending score sheets to us at the earliest to avoid further delay.” This year over 1.05 lakh students had opted for admission in various courses at DAVV during choice filling for CUET-UG.
DAVV this year is offering admissions in 25 UG courses through CUET-UG, including 14 integrated programs, all spanning five years. Among these, five integrated programs specialize in MTech. Last year, there were 22 courses with around 1400 seats. This year, three new courses have been added. Courses include BA LLB, MBA MS, BCom Honors, BA economics, MBA e-commerce (integrated), BSc Honors, BCom ATM, BSc electronic media, MBA foreign trade (integrated), and MBA electronic media (integrated).
The University has also decided to conduct the second round of counseling for CUET-PG alongside the UG counselling. There are over 400 vacant seats in CUET-PG, with approximately 200 in major courses. In group A, MBA finance and marketing were the top choices in the previous round, with few seats remaining. Other courses with some vacant seats include MBA entrepreneurship, HR, e-commerce, business economics, and financial services. Courses like MBA APR, tourism, rural development, and public administration saw most demand with seats being filled in the first round, but a few spots are still available.
There are 43 courses in CUET-PG this year with a seat capacity of over 1900 seats.

The CUET UG 2024 results, initially scheduled for June 15 and later rescheduled to June 30, had still not been released by July 26. This delay has led to significant student anxiety and concerns as some universities have already started their admission procedures. Students are expressing frustration on social media, demanding transparency and a company release date from the NTA.
