Double tap feature in WhatsApp

According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a WhatsApp reaction feature that will be fast and seamless. The instant messaging app is reportedly introducing a ‘double tap’ feature to react to certain messages, photos, videos, and GIFs. The reaction will be set by default and is likely to be a heart-shaped emoji. This feature is quite similar to what we use on Instagram where we react to messages by double tapping the screen and a heart-shaped emoji appears. Hence, we may get a similar feature on WhatsApp as well.

It is important to note that the feature is currently in development and users of the latest WhatsApp beta version of Android can access it. However, availability is again uncertain as the feature has not been released yet.
