Nearfield Instruments Secures Order for Its QUADRA Metrology System from Leading Semiconductor Facility in Asia

ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands, July 30, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Nearfield Instruments, a supplier of metrology and process control equipment for advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities, today announced that it has received an order for QUADRA® metrology systems from a major semiconductor fab in Asia.

QUADRA is the highest throughput atomic force microscopy (AFM) metrology system in the semiconductor industry, designed for in-line, on-device three-dimensional (3D) metrology. This system is essential for accelerating time to yield and optimizing high-volume manufacturing (HVM) throughput for advanced semiconductor fabs.

The order also includes Nearfield’s recently introduced Lightning Mode™, a new feature for QUADRA that significantly increases productivity and throughput, as well as Nearfield’s proprietary imaging algorithm and data analysis software that help customers address process challenges related to shrinking geometry, complex 3D structure and advanced packaging for high-bandwidth memory (HBM).

We are delighted to receive this order from a world-leading advanced manufacturing facility in Asia, which continues to actively operate to meet the growing demand for advanced devices such as HBM that enable AI applications.,” he said Hamed Sadeghian, CEO of Nearfield Instruments. “We are proud that our process control solutions address the demanding requirements of semiconductor manufacturing of advanced devices as well as future angstrom-level nodes. With our fast solutions and non-destructive systems, we are committed to contributing to greener semiconductor factories.
