RLC Residences Announces Net Zero Carbon Emissions and Residential Resilience Goal

RLC Residences recently entered into a groundbreaking agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), committing to deliver 1 million square meters (GFA) of zero-carbon, climate-resilient housing by 2031.

The pledge was initiated by Senior Vice President and General Manager of RLC Residences Business Unit, Chad Sotelo, during the 2nd IFC Climate Forum at the Ayala Museum.

Sotelo was joined by Angelo Tan, Head of Climate Business at the World Bank Group IFC in the Philippines, Malaysia and the Pacific.

The partnership will focus on identifying, assessing and implementing green building measures to help achieve net zero carbon emissions using IFC’s Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies (EDGE) certification. It will also assess and verify the resilience rating of future RLC Residences projects using IFC’s Building Resilience Index (BRI).
