RWE appoints COO for US renewables

RWE has appointed Kevin Kroll as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of its US renewable energy division, RWE Clean Energy.

As of August 1, Kroll, under the leadership of Andrew Flanagan, CEO of RWE Clean Energy, will complement the company’s management team, which also includes Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Ingmar Ritzenhofen and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Christoph Hunfeld.

Kroll joins RWE Clean Energy from McKinsey & Company, where he was a partner and spent nearly a decade advising private and public sector clients on achieving their decarbonization and sustainability goals.

In his role as COO, Kevin will be responsible for driving the continued growth of the business and overseeing the engineering, construction and operations of RWE’s growing fleet of renewable energy assets in North America, which currently includes more than 130 operational projects.

His specific responsibilities include: project execution, performance management and engineering, asset management, and operations and maintenance.
