My net worth is 980 million shillings – Duale

CS candidate for Environment, Climate Change and Forestry Aden Duale has revealed that his net worth is currently 980 million shillings

Speaking at an audit of the National Assembly’s Appointments Committee, Duale said the wealth consists of assets and other investments.

“I have plots of land in Garissa and Nairobi, a cattle ranch in Garissa, rental properties, camels and motor vehicles… and also books,” he said.

During his first vetting for the position of Secretary of the Cabinet of Defence in October 2022, Duale stated that his net worth at that time was 851 million shillings.

“Chairman, I am worth 851 million shillings, including the assets that I have. Including the goats, sheep and camels that I have, I even had to go and value my 231 camels somewhere in Kitui County,” he said at the time.

He also added that his income at that time was about 10 million shillings a year.

President William Ruto transferred Duale to the Ministry of Environment after he was re-appointed as Defence Minister.
