McLaren appoints smart tool supplier

McLaren Automotive announced that it has selected assembly tool and software supplier Atlas Copco as its official smart tool supplier.

McLaren has partnered with product specialists Atlas Copco to streamline manufacturing and engineering operations.

The carmaker said new technology has been introduced into devices and operating systems across the entire production line, enabling integration with existing production infrastructure.

Matt Walton, Chief Manufacturing Officer, said: “The partnership between McLaren and Atlas Copco has proven to be instrumental in the rapid expansion of our manufacturing capabilities.”

McLaren also deployed 150 battery-powered digital tools from Atlas Copco.
