Two Acer Chromebook Plus models are now available at even lower prices

This week – like many weeks – started off with some really great deals. Most of these deals have held up to this day, with only a few expiring mid-week. That’s a pretty normal cadence for Chromebook deals, but every so often we get a few little surprises mid-week when we track down discounts online. And this week, both of these little gems come from Acer.

Extra $20 off two Chromebook Plus models

Both Acer Chromebook Plus Spin 714 and Chromebook Plus 515 were on sale this week. Both devices started with $100 off. That means the Spin 714 is down to $599 and the 515 is down to $299. And both are great deals on fantastic Chromebooks.

But when I checked our Chromebook daily deals page today, I noticed that both devices had crashed. an additional $20, meaning the Spin 714 price has dropped to $579 and the 515 price to just $279. For both devices, these are aggressive prices.

While the 515 has been with us since last fall – almost a year – the Spin 714 is new from May 2024. While the also-great Spin 714 without the Plus branding is still available and on sale quite often, the newer version with the Intel Core Ultra 5 inside is the one that’s more discounted right now. When it comes to future-proofing yourself with a fantastic all-round Chromebook, it doesn’t get much better than this.

We’ve seen 515 prices drop to this level before, but anytime they drop below $300 it’s an absolute steal. With a solid build, lightweight design, great port selection, and fast components, this is a device that can do a lot on a shoestring budget.

Don’t expect any of these deals to last beyond the end of the weekend. So if you’re reading this right now and looking for a great, super-affordable device or a high-end Chromebook Plus at a great price, you may have found the Chromebook for you.
