Apple’s iOS 17.6 update enables Home Switching, where it was previously disabled, for some users. Here’s how to disable this Home setting.

The Home app allows users to set up multiple Homes and switch between them as needed. This can be useful for a number of reasons, including Homes for multiple physical locations, as well as for separating devices within the app.

Typically, the Home app switches between the active Home on the user’s behalf, but some may prefer to do it manually. This is especially true when there are multiple Home configurations on the network.

There is an option to disable automatic switching, and users often do so in cases where multiple Home setups are in use. In iOS 17.6, this setting has been changed to on for multiple users, meaning they will need to disable it again.
