Five people missing in China’s Sichuan province after bridge collapses

Five people are missing in southwestern China’s Sichuan province after a bridge connecting two tunnels along a highway collapsed on Saturday due to flooding in the area, local authorities said on their official WeChat account.

Three vehicles carrying six people fell off a bridge inundated by floodwaters from the mountains and floating debris, the Ganzi prefectural government said in a statement. One person was rescued.
