Eric Stonestreet Comedy ‘Home Team’ in Development at Prime Video

Eric Stonestreet returns to his sitcom roots. Modern family the star will be the star and executive producer of the comedy Home teamin which Stonestreet plays Scott Hansen, who… according to the plot description… “moves his father into a retirement home, begins to regain his footing in a new workplace, and learns how to finally live in the moment from people who have a lot less moments left.”

Prime Video introduces single camera Home team in development by Austin Winsberg’s Zihuatanejo Productions, Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, The Tannenbaum Company, Lionsgate Television (home to The Tannenbaum Co. and Zihuatanejo) and Amazon MGM Studios.

Joining Stonestreet as executive producers on the comedy project are showrunner Jason Belleville and Austin Winsberg, who co-wrote the story, as well as Ben Brown, Jamie Horowitz, Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, Jason Wang, Steven Lavivit and NFL veteran Peyton Manning.

Stonestreet, who appeared in all 250 episodes of the series Modern familyHe won two Emmy Awards in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy for his role as Cameron (Cam) Tucker. He was nominated seven times.
