Powerball winning numbers for 08/03/24: $171 million jackpot

The Powerball jackpot in Saturday’s drawing is expected to grow to $171 million after no winner was selected on Wednesday.

The winning numbers are scheduled to be drawn at 11:00 PM ET. We’ll post the numbers below.

If there is a winner of the $171 million jackpot in Saturday’s drawing and chooses the lump sum option, the lottery said, they could take home about $85.1 million after taxes.

The winning numbers for Saturday, August 3 are 33, 13, 61, 40 and 60, and the Powerball is 20. The Power Play is 3x.

How to play Powerball

To purchase a $2 Powerball ticket, you must visit your local grocery store, gas station, or convenience store. In several states, tickets can be purchased online.

To play, you must select a total of six numbers to mark on your ticket. Five of the numbers are white balls from 1 to 69. The Powerball is red and has one number from 1 to 26.

If you want to increase your chances of winning, you can add a $1 “Power Play” which will increase the winnings on all non-jackpot prizes. This add-on can multiply the winnings by 2x, 3x, 4X, 5XOr 10X.

Players can also request a “quick pick” from the cashier, where the cashier will provide computer-generated numbers on a printed Powerball ticket.

Drawings are held on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evenings. If there is no jackpot winner, the prize money will increase by millions.
