My net worth is 2.3 billion shillings

CS Nobel Prize candidate for Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs Hassan Ali Joho has revealed that his net worth is 2 billion shillings.

According to Joho, his wealth comes from the development of undeveloped real estate.

“Majorly developed and undeveloped property, including my homes in Mombasa, Vipingo, Malindi and Nairobi. Shares in some properties, shares in family businesses, valuables and cash in the bank,” he said.

He explained that the property belonged only to him, not to his family.

He spoke on the matter during an inspection when he appeared before the National Assembly’s Committee on Appointments.

Joho previously served as MP for Kisauni for five years and as governor for 10 years.

He is also the founder and director of Prima Pest and Bins Ltd, the first waste collection company in Mombasa.

He is also the founder of M-tech Kenya and East Africa Terminals.
