Digital passes are convenient, but they don’t cover everything. Now, thanks to AI, Google Wallet can convert almost any document into a digital pass. Google Wallet recently introduced a new feature that lets you turn almost any physical document into a digital pass. This feature is being rolled out through the Google Wallet app under the “Everything Else” option.

Announced in May and recently available to some users, it’s now becoming widely available, starting with Pixel devices. For now, only Google Pixel users see the “Everything Else” option in the latest version of Wallet, while Samsung devices have yet to receive the update.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to use this feature:

  1. Update Google Wallet: Make sure your app is updated to the latest version.
  2. Open Google Wallet: Launch the application on your device.
  3. Add to wallet: Click the “Add to Wallet” button.
  4. Select “Everything else”: Scroll down and select “Everything Else.”
  5. Capture document: Use the camera’s viewfinder to scan a document. AI will detect and analyze the information.
  6. Verify and edit:Confirm details and make any necessary changes.

Availability

The feature is currently rolling out primarily to Google Pixel devices, with wider availability expected soon.
