My net worth is 600 million shillings

Cabinet Secretary for Cooperative and SME Development candidate Wycliffe Oparanya has revealed that he is worth 600 million shillings.

During his questioning on Sunday before Parliament’s Appointments Committee, he said this also applies to the buildings and houses in which he lives.

The former Kakamega governor was the third person to appear before the vetting committee that day.

If approved, Oparanya pledged to ensure robust regulatory mechanisms and strengthen the capacity of the board.

Oparanya is a close ally of Azimio leader Raila Odinga and served as ODM party deputy leader until recently when he resigned to take up the CS nomination.
