CDS General Anil Chauhan to chair premier conference on financial synergy and cohesion in armed forces

New Delhi (India), August 4 (ANI): Chief of Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces Anil Chauhan is scheduled to chair the top-level tri-service finance conference to be held on August 5, 2024, at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi.

The conference, which aims to strengthen cohesion and synergy in financial matters of the Armed Forces, will be attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Defence (MoD), Ministry of Finance, Comptroller General of Defence Accounts, Integrated Services Financial Advisors, Government Electronic Marketplace, Service Headquarters and Indian Coast Guard Headquarters, according to an official press release issued by the Ministry of Defence on Sunday.

CDS will also deliver the keynote address.

The conference is in line with the objectives set out in the ongoing efforts to integrate and collaborate in the Armed Forces. It is coordinated by the Integrated Defense Staff (IDS) Command to enhance cooperation and achieve greater synergy in financial matters.

The discussions are expected to cover various aspects of understanding the perspectives of different stakeholders in defence financing and finding solutions to the challenges faced by defence procurement. The Financial Advisor (Defence Services) and the General Manager (Procurement) will also deliver specific keynotes on the roles and activities undertaken by their organisations in fast-track procurement.

This top-level conference brings together all stakeholders, including the Ministry of National Defence, Ministry of National Defence (Finance), IDS HQ, Service Headquarters, Coast Guard and CGDA, on a single platform. (ANI)
