MeitY funds over 3,600 tech startups with ₹212 crore

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has extended its support to over 3,600 technology startups with total funding of ₹ 212 crore. This is part of a broader government initiative to support the growth of the startup ecosystem in India.

As part of the Startup India initiative MeitY has implemented several programs such as TIDE 2.0, SAMRIDH, NGIS, and CoEs, which provide financial and technical support to startups at various stages of development. These activities are intended to encourage innovation, create jobs, and respond to the technological challenges facing India.

Over the past five years, the government supported more than 10,000 technology startups with a total funding of around ₹580 crore.

As the number of startups recognized by DPIIT increases, India is becoming a global startup hub. MeitY’s continued support is expected to strengthen the startup ecosystem in the country.
