Actors Keith David and David Keith join forces for first joint interview

The second season What are we talking about? The podcast will begin with a conversation: the first joint interview with veteran Hollywood actors Keith David and David Keith, who, for obvious reasons, are often confused with each other.

A podcast hosted by entertainment industry insiders: Paul Davidson (former Head of Film and Television at The Orchard), Benjamin Raab (Quantum leap co-executive producer) and entertainment executive Mitch Graham — released a trailer today announcing the surprise interview. The full podcast episode will be available on August 26.

What are we talking about? finds the hosts engaging in casual conversation about everything from movies and TV shows to buddy hugs and skincare regimens. During last season’s episode, the trio broached the subject of director John Carpenter’s films, a conversation that led them to connect the dots between David (star of Carpenter’s films such as 1982’s Thing and 1988 They are alive) and Keith.

In the special “Keith David Meets David Keith,” the actors discuss their careers and the times they were mistaken for each other. They joke about what kind of script it would take to have them star in a project together when they were approached by Davidson, Raab and Graham. “Every once in a while I’ll get a picture of Keith and I’ll turn it over and write, ‘That wasn’t me,’ and send it back in the mail,” Keith admits.

An Emmy Award-winning actor whose career stretches back to the late 1970s, David has nearly 300 roles to his name. He broke out in Oliver Stone’s Platoon and has moved seamlessly from big-budget hits like Armageddon for voice work as The princess and the Frogindependent dramas such as 21 Requiem for a Dream and television series such as Green leafand many others.

Keith has over 125 credits to his name dating back to the late 1970s. He is well known for his performances in An Officer and a Gentleman, Independence Day, The Firestarter, Heartbreak Hotel AND Behind enemy linesamong others.
