Telecel Ghana CEO Receives Double Recognition at Ghana CEO Awards

Telecel Ghana CEO Patricia Obo-Nai was honoured with the CEO of the Year award in the Telecommunications and Private Sector category at the prestigious Ghana CEO Awards.

The dual recognition was in recognition of her exceptional leadership, business acumen and support for sustainability initiatives over the past year.

Ms. Obo-Nai’s recognition follows the successful transformation of the telecommunications company and its renaming to Telecel Ghana, a milestone that marked a strategic shift and renewed commitment to the Ghanaian market.

Under her leadership, Telecel Ghana experienced significant growth and expansion, solidifying its position as a key player in the country’s telecommunications market and a leader in sustainable development within the industry.

The main theme is CEOs and Climate Change: The Path to a Green Future – this year’s edition focused on the role of CEOs in promoting a responsible approach to the environment and sustainable practices in their organisations.

The Ghana CEO Awards, now in its third year, recognise outstanding CEOs from across various sectors of the Ghanaian business community.

Receiving the Telecoms CEO of the Year and Private Sector CEO of the Year awards this evening at the Kempinski Gold Coast City Hotel in Accra, Ms Obo-Nai said she was honoured and full of gratitude for the recognition of her leadership and teamwork at Telecel Ghana.

“I am honored to receive the CEO of the Year award in the private sector and in telecommunications. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Telecel Ghana team to be at the forefront of network connectivity and sustainable development,” said Ms. Obo-Nai.

“With our successful transition to Telecel Ghana this year, we will continue to lead the way in connectivity and sustainability, contributing to building a greener and more sustainable future.”

The Ghana CEO Awards ceremony was attended by leaders and executives from various business sectors. Information Minister Fatimatu Abubakar delivered the keynote address on behalf of the Vice President of Ghana.

The double recognition highlights Ms Obo-Nai’s exemplary strength of character and her ability to rise to industry challenges, innovate and deliver exceptional results that have contributed to Telecel Ghana’s success.
