Tata Motors to launch charging point aggregator app – Express Mobility News

Based on the unavailability of quality charging points for EV owners, which is causing anxiety among them, Tata Motors has come up with a new connected car app called Tata.ev, a platform designed to reduce range anxiety. The company said that along with the release of Tata Curvv, a charging point aggregator app called Curvv.ev will also be released. Tata EV took to social media to showcase the new way of helping EV owners by creating a one-stop destination for all charging needs.

Tata.EV: What does it include?

The company announced on social media that the app comes with Active Availability Status to get live updates from over 15 charging providers across India. The app provides Advanced Filtering Options which are real-time charger status availability options like – provider, speed, type, and ratings. The feature also includes Seamless navigation to charger locations and will integrate with app data to plan trips based on charger range and usage. Other app owners can Rate Charging Stations to make their selection easier.

Tata.EV: What’s next?

Tata Motors is expected to launch the Curvv EV on August 7, which will place it above the Nexon EV. While Tata is yet to reveal the specifications, the Curvv EV is expected to offer a range of up to 500 km. The Indian carmaker plans to introduce petrol and diesel variants of the SUV coupe later on. The Curvv will be powered by the new 1.2-litre Hyperion TGDi petrol engine that produces 123 PS at 5,000 rpm and 225 Nm of peak torque between 1,700 rpm and 3,500 rpm. It will also get the 1.5-litre diesel engine from the Nexon.
